Which is a better first car for a teenage girl?
I can get my license in a few weeks, and my dad and I are looking for a car for me. We have found 2 cars from a reliable used car dealership in my area and are going to see/test drive them tomorrow.
One is a 2006 Gray Hyundai Sonata LX with about 147,000 miles on it for $4999 and the other is a 2008 Silver Ford Focus SES with about 138,000 miles on it for $5999, but some of the buttons/controls in the interior are partially worn out. Both cars have sunroofs, and both prices are before all the added fees that come with purchasing a car such as 30 day license, etc.
I know the Sonata has a V6 engine and the Focus is only V4. I also know the Focus is smaller which I like due to the whole manueverability aspect of the driving test. However, my dad said if the people at the dealership won't come down on the price he's not sure if he's willing to pay over $6000 after all the added charges.
Which would you recommend for my first car? 2006 Sonata or 2008 Focus? Please include any experience you've had with either car, and your personal opinion.
Hi
I can tell you with experience that the ford focus will cause you nothing but problems. The rear doors have a bad rep of not being able to stay shut, suspension parts go very quickly and lets be honest, its a ford. Ford has never made anything good. It is a 4 cylinder (there's no such thing as a v4!) and will be better on gas, but in the end the in gas cost between the hyundai and the focus will be minimal when it comes to repair costs. The hyundai is a good car with no suspension issues, make sure the brakes and tires are new and working well, and that the engine is running fine. If there are any options toward toyota corolla or honda civic those would be my personal choice. But if those are your only options i would pick the hyundai. Remember that both cars have high kilometers which isn't always a bad thing as long as service was done

Yea. I think you can go with Hyundai cars… Because Hyundai cars engine good and they providing driving comfort is amazing. And car interior, fluredic design… Everything is so attractive.
- Which is better? 1995 ford ranger which is stick or a 2004 Ford Escape? I'm a 16 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to have those two cars to choose from. Both have high mileage, like 350k on the ranger and 250k for the escape. Both have been serviced to a T. I really don't know which car would be best in the Long run. Meaning I don't know which one is most reliable and which one would be best for me and my use of maybe hauling my friends around. So which one do you think is the best choice?
- Which car is the better car all around? Ok, i'm looking to get a new car but after all, this is the hardest decision to make… Between the 2015 Ford Mustang. 2015 Camaro and 2015 Dodge Challenger… All v6 base models, i'm not trying to spend too much… I'm leaning towards the Mustang because our family gets a 2,500 discount on Fords and they have a rebate going on right now… If i wanted the Mustang now, I would only have to pay around 19,800 for a 26,000 car… Suggestions please
- Which is a better first car? I'm a 16 year old guy and I currently have my permit. I have been looking at cars for a long time. Right now, everything is within walking distance from my house. So I don't really need a car. However I plan on buying a car right before I go to college. I was thinking either a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL or a 2012 Ford Taurus Limited. Which one should I buy?
- What's a good car for a teenage guy? - 1 So I have been looking for my first car and I really like the ford flex and Chevy suburban but basically any big suv are my favorites. Does anyone have any other ideas? I also like sporty cars like the Subaru brz. But big SUVs are my favorite. Does anyone have any cars that are god for my age and looks cool but doesn't make you look douchy or something a mom would drive
