My 2000 reg ford focus just cut out when i applied the foot break, the battery, oil & engine lights came on?

Even though it wouldnt drive it didn't turn off, so i turned it off then back on again after 1 minute & it was fine. Why would this happen?

When the engine cuts on a car the oil pressure drops to zero and the alternator stops turning - this puts on the oil pressure warning light and the alternator warning light - THIS IS NORMAL.

If the idle air control valve is starting to go then that would explain the cutting out and then being able to restart immediately. There are though many other posibilities.

There's no such component as a foot "break". Do you mean, "brake"?

My dodge did a similar thing, could never figure it out. I had a friend say that it was a possible glitch.
