Is the Hyundai Veloster Reliable?

"The 2017 Hyundai Veloster has a below-average predicted reliability score of 2.5 out of five. Both the Mazda3 and Ford Focus also receive a 2.5 score. The Hyundai Elantra, another class rival, has a near-perfect score of 4.5, which means it's expected to be more reliable than most other vehicles."
What do they mean by reliable?

Reliable means it requires less repairs in comparison to other similar makes and models.

Those scores can be misleading. All new vehicles can be considered to be quite reliable, but those with a low reliability score are predicted to have more mechanical problems ON AVERAGE over a given amount of time or number of miles than a vehicle with a high reliability score. This doesn't necessarily mean problems that would cause a vehicle to break down and it doesn't mean that every car of a specific type will develop problems. These are statistical predictions only. Besides that, most problems that are not due to owner negligence or careless driving will be covered under warranty and Hyundai has one of the most comprehensive warranties in the industry.

Reliability is a measure of how much maintenance a vehicle requires.
