Is MyFord Touch as bad as the Internet says? Best alternatives?

I'm looking to buy a Ford Focus but I want to make sure I get every detail of my purchase right. A big thing for me with upgrading right now is the electronics system. I think SYNC with MyFord Touch looks great, but upon some Internet reading I see that come users have complaints. I'm okay with the occasional bug--they're a part of our modern living and I can deal with them. My question is if the MyFord Touch's problems are bigger than a mild inconvenience. I really would like a Ford, but are there other makers that have higher-quality systems? I'd like to go under $20,000 and I hate the look of Chevy's and their Mylink system. Perhaps I should forego the touch screen option to save money and downgrade to the simple MyFord system?

Basically I just need people to tell me their experiences with MyFord Touch, MyFord, and other systems. Any help?

As a general rule, nothing is as bad as the Internet says it is. People who have no problems with Ford informatics -- I assume such must exist somewhere -- don't clutter up forums telling people they have no problems.

Both the MyFord and MyFord Touch systems are great!

Here's a link to compare the two:
