Advice car is not accelerating when pressing on gas
Okay i have a 2002 ford focus. I've had it for almost a year now and had numerous problems. Just this past month i've had to get a new alternator (even though i just got a new one months ago), a new water tank and that cleaned out, and had a full engine clean with new spark plugs, these are definitely not the only problems with it. Before i got the full engine clean and spark plugs, my car would die at stop lights and idle terribly. Now its better but its starting to idle again and twice this happened that when i press on the gas to turn at a stop light itll just barly go, which is terrifing and almost got me killed, its like it just wouldnt accelerate. I think its my fuel system now, plus i never go less than a one fourth a tank on gas. I've spent so much money on this car and i need advice. I took my battery to autozone to charge a couple weeks ago and it started leaking a little acid. But i don't think thats the problem, any advice is welcomed.
This sounds to me like possible EGR valve is dirty or throttle body the same.
The 2002 takes the OBO2 scanner is the check engine light on? The other issue your timing chain could have slipped You did give enough info for the car There are two motors for the year and make How many miles on it? Depending on the motor Determines the interval when the timing chain belt should be replaced
Its not the battery once the car is started you can remove the battery and chuck it in a garbage can long as it don't run out of gas, will run forever However a leaking battery should be replace its going to fail over time We need more information on the car like mileage and engine to give a better answer But from what limited description you gave sounds like a timing chain

Is there a way to start this truck from passenger side with left hand without pressing clutch and then walk around to drivers side, get in and drive.
- Entire car loses power when we floor the gas. Gauges reset until we let off gas. (still drives) 02 ford mustang. The car loses power to everything. (Except what's needed for the vehichle to stay running.) Can still drive it. What are possible problems? (AC does not affect anything )
