12 inch sub and amp MTX audio?

That's the amp and sub I have in my Ford Focus, I think the fuse on it went out? I have an equalizer on my phone so I don't know if that added too much power to the amp and burned the fuse. I went to best buy because that's where I had my installation, so i had free service for a fuse replacement, then it blew that one, guy at best buy gave me like a btter one but I don't think i blew it this time. It's just the amp that heats too much I guess.
Procedding to the question: I want and amp that the wattage is under the peak on link provided. I wanna push 400 watts at least, if not up to 700 or more if possible.
Sorry, but 200w rms is the most power you can safely push that sub with. Because that sub is 4 ohms your amp is only putting out 100w rms, not the full 200 that it is rated for. If you replaced the sub in that enclosure with a 2-ohm model -- MTX TN12-02 -- you could get more out of your amp. If you want more than 200 watts rms of power, you'll need a complete new system.
p.s. Ignore peak power ratings. They are irrelevant. Watts rms (average power) is what you have to consider.
Can you have 2 amps wired to 1 single sub?
So should i just buy another 200 watt amp then?
- Sub has no highs but play lows nice? So I had my 500 watt alpine amp with Rockford punch 12" in my hyndai with a head unit and it hit the highs and lows perfect. Now I transferred the same sub and amp to my Ford Taurus only using a converter so I can play it off my stock radio. The lows hit so nicely but there's like no highs at all.what's up with that?
- Can you install amp and sub into a 2003 Ford Taurus? Well I'm pretty sure you can but I noticed you have to buy the aftermarket raido kit for the car which is like 40$. And it includes the wires for heat and all that but just making sure I will be able to hook a custom head unit up to the wires inside the car?
