Would you drive this car long distance?
I have a 2012 Ford fiesta with 46,500 on it. No major issues at all. The only thing is ford didn't make the seals for the dual clutch right so it has been replaced 2 times under Ford warranty. They really don't know how to fix it so every 5,000+ miles it has a clutch shudder. Luckily they will fix up until 100,000mi. Hopefully I can trade it in by then but my plan is to go straight highway 600 miles one way and 600 back. I put more miles on then the avg person bcs I drive clients so I put about 1500 miles on my car a month. I don't know. And still have 4 yes to pay off:/ would you?
Added (1). They haven't solved the problem. Right now mine is fine. They just fixed it 6 weeks ago. I have AAA insurance and roadside assistance.
Yes I would. Just make sure you're part of AAA so you have road side assistance.
Look online and see if Ford has a fix for the clutch issue(updated part). They should have solved the issue by now(considering they still make the same car).
Yea take it, no worries. BTW leaking transmissions are a Ford tradition Bought my last new ford decades ago and from day one the trans leaked. Dealer could never be bothered to fix it. Needless to say haven't ever thought about a Ford since. Nice cars, Dealers are garbage.
Sure, You should be fine.
- You can have any color you want, as long as it's black? What does that mean? I've seen this a couple of times in places. I know Henry Ford said, but what exactly does it mean?
- 2000-2007 Ford Taurus. How long distance receive remote keyless entry signal? My taurus is only 10 feet. Is it normal? I bought new after market new remote and new battery but still same. I want to fix if its not normal. And Which location remote receiver unit?
- Can I drive an older car long distance? I'm planning on buying an older car, either a 1984 Monte Carlo, 1999 Cadillac Eldorado, or a 2000 Ford Ranger and drive either one to Fort Polk from Miami since I'm PCSing there in a month. I was wondering is it a good idea to drive an older vehicle that far even if it is well maintained? Also how hard would it be to find parts and fix a classic car like the Monte Carlo?
- How long can I drive my car for after battery light came on? I have a 2001 ford ka and earlier today the battery light on the dashboard came on, I googled what it is and think it's the alternator. I'm getting it serviced next Wednesday but need to make a 40 minute journey tomorrow but not sure whether to risk it or not?
