What do I need to do to get my Truck to run on E-85?

I have a 2007 Ford F-150 with the 4.6L engine. What Modifications do I need to do in order to convert my Truck to E-85?

Trying to save 2 cents a gallon on gasoline? It would be cheaper to sell your truck and by a flex'fuel one then replacing the motor, wiring harness and PCM.

You will need an entirely new engine, a new fuel delivery system, and a new computer.

Why would you even think of doing this? E85 will give you worse fuel economy with no benefit whatsoever. No reason in the world to do this.

You need to change all the plastic and rubber (fuel lines, fuel pump, fuel level sending unit, fuel injectors, fuel filter, fuel tank) that touches the fuel to something that won't deteriorate in the alcohol and then you need to change the engine management program to run E-85.
Smarter and easier to change to propane.

Get a new truck engine

You should just use the 10% ethanol that has always been at the pumps. Another 5% isn't going to do you any good.

You need the sensors, ECU tune, and you need to replace all fuel lines, connectors, and possibly injectors and anything else that comes in contact with the fuel, with E-85 rated parts. It's not even close to being financially feasible vs. Selling your current truck and buying one that can can run on E85 from the factory. Not sure why you would even want to in the first place, the cost per mile is about the same either way (gasoline vs. E85).

NO modifications. You need a REBUILD.

you need a completely different engine.

You?

Yep you need a new whole engine bro
