Should I sell my truck? - 1

I'm 25 and I have a 95 Ford F150 I have been driving since I was 16. Now, it is a nice truck. Really well maintained. It has leather and wood and almost every luxury option that was available in 95. It is 4x4, has the 5.0 V8 which runs strong and sounds good too. I also have my custom sound system. I think I have the best truck of all time. Other people tell me never get rid of that truck.

But I keep wondering if I should buy a newer car. I also have a ton of money. I'm interested in a 2015 or newer Subaru Outback. Would be a good, capable car but practical and I could drive Lyft or Uber.

I also have a 1970 Chrysler 300 convertible that is my main project. It is a car that I truly will never sell. But I only need one project.

Lately the Ford has had some issues. It's idling high possibly due to all kinds of vacuum or gasket leaks, and the timing is likely off. It just makes me wonder if now might be a proper time to move on from "number one."

If you sell it, I will not be the buyer. I'm a Dodge / Cummins diesel guy.

One more year you can get antique plates for the truck.

  • Should I sell my car and get a cheaper one? I currently own a 2014 Ford Mustang valued at roughly $9670 with 47,000 miles on the odometer. I recently accepted a job that will require I commute 2 hours a day or 18,400 miles per year. I'm currently looking to buy a used car for $1500 or less so that I can save up for a better car in a year or two. Should I sell my mustang?
  • Should I just sell/trade my 1996 Mustang and buy a 240sx? I really want to sell/trade my 1996 Ford Mustang 5 speed 6 cylinder for a 1993-1997 Nissan 240SX to make a street/track racing or drifting car but whenever I offer my car for there 240SX they say no thank you and I'm just trying to sell it on Craigslist for atleast $2500 to make a profit it has a brand new clutch one rust spot on rear wheel well that's not even that bad and only has 185K miles on it.
  • How much should I sell my mustang for? I bought a 2001 Ford Mustang back in November and just a couple months ago the gas tank fell off. It can't be re-attached an less the bottom is welded because it is rusted out. Unfortunately I do not have the money to fix it and I pretty much just need to get it off my hands at this point. I know I won't get much for it but how much should I sell it for as is?
  • Should I sell the car or trade it in? I have a 2001 Ford Focus SE wagon. It has about 178,000 miles on it. Yesterday, I went to two dealerships. One told me I wasn't going to get much for it but would not give me an estimate. The other one I went to told me that it was in good shape but because of the year and mileage that it still would not be worth much. We were thinking about setting our own price and selling it ourselves. What would be the better deal - selling it ourselves or trading it in?
