My parked car was hit? Who pays for the damage?
My 2004 ford f150 lariat was parked in the street in front of my house. Some stupid lady was going about 50 down my street and rear ended my truck and the thing is in such bad shape now and can't drive. I was able to pull it in the driveway for the night but barely because the back tire doesn't turn. I'm only 16 and bought this truck myself and am really ticked off that I might have to pay for the damage. I was home alone and heard the crash in front of my house. She got out and apologized and I took pictures of her license and proof of no fault insurance (I called my dad and he told me too) my parents just got home from their night out and said they'll figure something out in the morning. But I'm confused because I have the bare minumum insurance requirements for michigan. What do I do? Is her insurance going to pay for repairs and to get my damaged car towed?
Her insurance will cover your damage since she was the one at fault.
The lady who hit your parked vehicle is liable for repair costs. Whether you have insurance or nor or the type of insurance you have is irrelevant as far as this accident is concerned.
I sure hope you called the police and filed a report.
She could always deny that she hit you, or maybe say her car was stolen and someone else was driving. Always protect your but.
Just because you got a copy of her DL doesn't mean anything.
Hopefully she won't try to screw you and her ins will pay it all.
Sorry about this, Jose. But I hope you realize Michigan is a no fault insurance state. You best read up on what exactly that is going to mean to you. Good luck.

- I parked my 2017 Ford Mustang in my apartment parking garage on the 4th floor for 2 days with out moving it When I left it there I had more than half a tank of gasoline. When I returned to drive the car the gas tank was empty and the car would not start. There was no gas in there at all. Is there a mechanical answer for this?
- If you're parked waiting for a friend in a gd area in Aussie+ a 60 year old in a Porsche parks opposite u, exits his car stepping toward? You a metre and scowling at u without breaking his gaze, what's his problem? I looked away first stupidly as I'm in my car and should not have let him do that, but when he walked off he did another death stare at me for 5 metres… I feel violated by this agro guy… Why does he think he owns the street? would you have said " what's up?" Or what are you staring at so much? I'm 25 in a new Ford.
- If a car causes another car to swerve and spin-out, is it considered hit-and-run if they leave the scene? On the way to work this morning, I saw a Ford truck cut off a smaller car and the poor car spun out in the rain and ended up facing the opposite direction. This caused the traffic to stop because it looked like the vehicle wouldn't start. The ford truck most likely knew he did that but kept going, instead of stopping. He didn't hit the car or any cars at all during the time. If he didn't actually hit anything, is it still considered hit and run? Should he have stopped?
- I was driving and hit a pothole really hard, as soon as I hit it it sounded like glass shattered all over my car? There's no shattered glass anywhere that I can see and when I drive now I can hear something rattling around like a whole bunch of Little Rock's what could it be? I have Ford Focus
