I bought an old ford for 300 bucks and wanted to fix it up it is a 1976 ford f150 long bed regular cab?

It is 2wd only it needs a total engine rebuild and it needs to be machined by a shop it has no rust on the body it just needs a engine rebuild would it be worth it to fix it up and sell it for a profit

Yes, it would. Lots of people are wanting the older trucks.

Depends on how much money you end up sinking into it…

It totally would be worth it. If there's no rust the body and frame alone are worth 2500. Go find a ford 351 windsor motor and have the shop throw on 351 cleavland heads and make that truck roar!

Swap in a rebuilt engine unless you intend to do all the rebuilding except the machining. In that case, the only profit is paying yourself for your own labor.

These are climbing in value. We may want to consider keeping to for a while after working on it. An engine exchange is best quick way and we can get one from a breakers or exchange with a dealer etc. If we fit ourselves? Me can save but often its better to have an exchange with a warranty included as if we selling on or even keeping? It can add value.
