Fixing a 1999 ford f150 that won't start?

I've got a 1999 ford f150, manual transmission. It was my brother's, so I don't really know too much of the other details. The problem with it is, he said it started hard when he drove it home, and then he backed it in to where it is now, and it hasn't started since. He said he looked at it, and is probably something electrical. It spins over, but doesn't start. After crashing my truck, I don't exactly have the money, nor the time, to invest in taking it to a shop if I don't have to. So, does it sound like I could fix it myself?

You need fuel, compression, and spark. If it is electrical, it is probably fuel or spark.

  • Why won't my 2004 Ford F150 start? I have a 2004 F150 that won't start. The battery and starter are no more than a year old. It's usually pretty bad in below freezing temps. I can usually tell it won't start when I put the key in the ignition and almost immediately the dash lights are dim before even cranking. Just now, the headlights starting flickering and now they won't shut off.
  • 1999 Ford expedition won't start? My 99 ford expedition will not start. I know I'm in need of a tune up but I think this is something else. When I try o crank my car it makes a little noise and does not turn over. I think this might be the starter. So what you guys think.
  • 2003 Ford F-250 Powerstroke won't Crank, won't start? When I turn the key, I get a rapid clicking noise, and the indicator lights on the dash flicker. Glow plugs also sound like their barely getting enough juice. No crank at all. I hooked up my 100w solar panel with a automatic12/24 volt charge controller, which said batteries had a good charge. Went ahead and charged them fully, followed by cleaning the post, and battery connections of corrosion. Result was the same, won't start. Any ideas what could be wrong?
  • Car won't start, radio turns on automatically when I try to start the car? I have a 2004 Ford Freestar and I attempted to wire it for pulling a trailer. Well, I messed something up because now when I try to start the car it clicks like a dead battery. If that's all that happened I would just assume the battery was dead but the radio turns on too and the lights on the dash go a little buggy… so I removed all the wires I installed but the problem still persists. Any help would be great!
