What's wrong with the CD player in the car?

The car is a 2003 Ford Explorer XLT. It has the AM/FM CD/Casette combo. If I put a CD in, it plays just fine. When I go to remove the CD, it won't come all the way out. I can see it, it sits in the beginning of the slot. I'm not sure how to fix this. I want to keep the stock radio.

Added (1). You can't grab it. It has to be taken out with a pen or a paperclip.

That is normal. It pops out enough to grab it, but not pop out onto the floor.
My 2007 XLT with multi cd changer does the same.

  • Why my subs don't come on with cd player? I have a Kenwood radio with usb. When I change the source from tuner to cd the music plays but my subs don't come on. My subs come on with the tuner. I hooked all the weird Wires up except a solid blue wire. I have a 99 Ford Taurus SE if that means anything.
  • Will my Ford KA (55 plate) CD player play MP3's? I have a 55 plate Ford KA Collection model and was wondering whether my CD player would play mp3's? I have the standard CD player/Radio that was originally put in the car it has never been changed.
  • Where can I get a new cd player for my '04 Ford Explorer? The motor in my cd player is dead, with a cd stuck in it. I've been looking for a new or used one. But I don't really know what I'm doing lol. I'm new to this. Can anyone help me? Possibly send me the link to a site? I'd appreciate it.
  • CD Player in Ford Explorer? I have a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT, and I see that there's a button for a CD player. I looked on google and found out that it's under the center console armrest, but I have no idea how to open it in order to look. Can anyone help me? P.S. I searched all over google and youtube to find a way to open it, but they were no help.
