Pictures of 2 inch wheel spacer on a Suv?
Was wanting to get wheel spacers for my 05 ford explorer. Can't decide to go with a 1.5 inch or a 2 inch. Does anyone have a picture or could find one for me of a suv with a 1.5 or 2 inch wheel spacer. Greatly appreciated.
Wheel spacers of any width are dangerous. They loosen up and no one takes their tires off once a month to check them. They also cause premature failure of the hub/wheel bearings due to the added offset. You'll find out no doubt.
Just don't. Wheel spacers change your suspension geometry which puts stress on the suspension components and will cause they to wear out faster. It also might cause clearance issues, and it will not improve the truck in any way.
What are you trying to gain here? You'll get worse gas mileage. It won't ride or handle better (probably worse), and if you think it will look better, it only will to people that don't realize how bad these things are.
How hard can it be to "picture" it in your mind?
- What tools do I need to change my brake pads? Explain in plain English to a non-mechanic. Send pictures even? Alright before I get into this, let me explain that I'm a 17 year old girl that has no one to do my brake pads, and I'm unable to transport my car to a shop. Recently bought a car that needs a brake pad change and decided it'd be a good learning experience to just do them myself. I've seen them done and also decided that if I **** something up that's my own problem. I have a 2005 Ford Taurus. My e-mail is nyarseniccatnip@gmail.com (Haha. Ironic.)
- Can I swap 15 inch tire an rim with a 16 inch tire an rim? The rims an tires are off a dodge van, they are 5 hole rims, the car I want to put them on is a ford taurus with a 16 inch tire on it.
- Is it better to ride on 32 inch tires or 33 inch tires on a 2010 f150? As of right now I have 33 inch tires on my 2010 ford f150 supercrew cab truck. It has a 2 inch leveling kit. The previous owner put 33s on it. When I make sharp turns I feel maybe the tire size is maybe too big? It's always making a grinding noise
- Insert the key and doesn't turn. Steering wheel locked. Shifter stuck in park. Can start by mechanical part under wheel. What could it be? 1999 ford f150 won't come out of park or start even when I start it using the mechanical part under the steering wheel
