Hi so what do you expect from such an old truck might have more to do with these issues. As wiring like anything else gets old it's insulation breaks down so wires short out on body parts causing all sorts of problems. The truck is now 23 years old far longer than it was expected to last. 10 years max is what Ford would have expected.
Just disable it. Nobody wants to steal it anymore.
- Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?

- What causes the raw gas smell on the drivers side of a 1994 Ford explorer xlt 4x4? Raw gas smell coming out from drivers side near gas tank, saw a rusted spot on the top gas line at rear near tank. Also off topic but the gas gauge says empty when according to specs it still has 4 to 6 gallons left.
- I just bought a 92 Ford explorer clutch problems? I checked the hydraulic fluid and added some. Still no clutch. All the fluid I put Iigh n is laying on the ground under the transmission. Doesn't this indicate a bad slave cylinder?
