Would ABS issue drain battery?

I have a 2000 Ford Expedition. Last week, my ABS light came on. Read the manual and it said that the breaks would perform normally, but to have it checked out. When I turned the car off, I could still hear a sound as if a motor was still running, but I could not determine where the sound was coming from. Before I was able to take it to the mechanic, the battery was completely drained. Had not heard that noise before the ABS light came on.

If the pump motor relay has a short, it will drain the battery.

No pump relay on this. It's built into the ABS control module on top of the ABS pump. Get it rebuilt. Modulemaster.com
