Will a battery from a corolla power an expedition?
If my battery is dead on my ford expedition would the battery from a toyota corolla be strong enough to temporarily replace it? I tried giving my current battery a jump but it is completely gone.
CHECH COLD CCRANKING AMPERAGE CAPACITY AND YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND IT ISN'T A POWERFUL ENOUGH BATTERY. IT MIGHT WORK IN A PINCH BUT COLD CRANKING AMPS (CCA) IS VERY IMPORTANT.
If its warm outside and the battery on the Corolla is fully charged, it probably would work fine. Just make sure not to run too many accessories on the Expedition while you drive it, since that could overwork the alternator.
Nope, not enough amps, and it won't fit in the tray.
- Want to trade in my mustang for corolla but still paying it off? I own a 2006 ford mustang and i still owe around $8,000 in financing it. I wanted to trade it in for a newer (maybe 2009) toyota corolla for around $9,000. Would this be stupid to do, considering i still owe money on my mustang? Or after the trade in value will the remaining balance just bounce over to my corollas balance?
- Amplifier connected straight to battery with on/off switch would damage battery in any way? So i did this on my ford fusion 2016 straight connected to the battery with the on/off switch but now the car does not want to start as before makes a little noise like when battery its dead but turn on after 3 to 4 seconds any suggestions? Ideas thanks
- New alternator and battery but battery still won't charge in my ford explorer 93? My battery wouldnt charge So i just replaced my alternator a few days ago knowing it would fix the problem. It appears that the alternator was not the problem. I've got a brand new alternor and when i check the battery(running car), it just stays on 12.5V and doesn't go up. I tried using it yesterday and it just drained out on me. I tried 3 good batteries already and checked if they charge in my car but they don't. Oh, the alternator came with a volt regulator.
- 2006 Ford Expedition - sudden loud pop/bang no power. Then intermittent power at 3000rpms not shifting? Heard a loud pop/bang and suddenly no power when driving… Turned the car off and was 'going' but shifting horribly and intermittently. No check engine lights on dash. Turned off overdrive and power was better but only beyond 3000rpms… Any thoughts?
