Which is better straight pipe or flowmaster outlaw?

I'm driving a 2006 5.4 l Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer edition and I was wondering if I remove the muffler and put a straight pipe would it damage the engine or would a Flowmaster outlaw be better on the engine

The only things that mufflers protect are your eardrums. It won't hurt the engine at all. It will have an effect on the engine's power curve, although not always noticeable (usually some back pressure caused by a muffler can help low RPM torque but will lower high RPM torque, so taking the muffler off can possibly increase high end torque and lower low end torque.)

Straight pipe is illegal AND stupid.

Why are you trying to make a HOT ROD out of a BOAT?

I'd just save the money for when the transfer case goes!

  • Which is better? 1995 ford ranger which is stick or a 2004 Ford Escape? I'm a 16 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to have those two cars to choose from. Both have high mileage, like 350k on the ranger and 250k for the escape. Both have been serviced to a T. I really don't know which car would be best in the Long run. Meaning I don't know which one is most reliable and which one would be best for me and my use of maybe hauling my friends around. So which one do you think is the best choice?
  • Can a Flowmaster 44 Muffler work on a 2003 Ford ranger V6 3.0 Engine? I have been wanting to put a loud exhaust on my truck for a while now and i took it to a local muffler shop and they recommended i use another muffler because the Flowmaster super 44 won't work well on my truck. But i have seen some youtube videos that show other results should i use the Flowmaster super 44 Muffler?
  • Mustang Gt. X pipe cat delete & cat back rousch exhaust? If I put Rousch or Borla cat back and an x pipe w/ cat delete on the car will it make my car fail emissions test? I realize the cat back is most likely fine, but cat delete I would think it would not pass.
  • Would a straight pipe sound good on my Ford Focus? Hi I've been doing some research on straight pipes and exhaust systems for my 2010 Ford Focus SES sedan. I don't wanna spend over $500+ on a full exhaust system. So that's out of the question. I was thinking a straight pipe by itself. I found one for $17.62 on Amazon. I want the "racing" sound. How much will installation cost and what would it sound like? A loud Mustang or truck? Send me a link to a video if possible or just answer.
