How to disconnect hose coupling on fuel rail on a 2005 ford expedition 5.4?
Yes - There a small 'C' shaped plastic 'tool' that works on all the fitting on the fuel lines, all the way back to the fuel tank.
With a fuel disconnect tool i believe
You'll have to buy a fuel line removal tool kit.It comes with 5-8 different size plastic tools used to slip over the hose and then engage the spring lock which releases the fuel line. You can't disconnect the fuel lines without this tool except near the fuel filter, which of course uses replacement plastic clips. Its between $5-$10 bucks I believe
Pick up a universal set of fuel connection tools for about 10 bucks at Autozone or Napa. The blue one should fit all the Ford lines
Fuel line release tool sold at specialty tool stores.
Measure line fitting diameter.
Buy one, two, or the set.
You can now read the book about proper procedure and handling of fuel systems under pressure. You will see what i mean when you don't know what to do with the garter spring. Gloves and eye protection recommended.
