I'm taking my Ford Escape to the dealership today for 3 recall fixes. 2 are for computer reprogramming issues and 1 for door latch replaceme?

Nt. I've had NO problems with my vehicle whatsoever with any of the 3 recalls. What happens if after the work is done, I do start having problems with the 3 recalls they worked on? Is their work covered or will I have to pay for repairs?

Added (1). Will I have to pay for another repair cost?

Added (2). Waited 3 hours for repairs to be done.service manager said the tech couldn't get computer to turn back on after reprogramming. Gave me a loaner for the night. We'll see how this turns out.

Their work is covered. My Corolla had two recalls, both were fixed, and no issues around them happened.

Thats why you should get a japanese car. They use actual brains when building cars. American cars are junk and made in such a clumsy way. Only thing you have to allow americans to manufacture is donuts. Even at that they would suck. But at least only they would eat it too so no harm done to the world.

No cost to you. Just a bit of your time while they work on it. The FORD company is fixing a known issue FOR FREE. They have the replacement fix for it. Maybe it is not a problem for you today… But it will be. Let them catch it before it leaves you stranded on the road somewhere, in the baddest part of town on a rainy dark night.
. Normally they may even offer to take you to a shopping mall as it may have a few cars to work on ahead of you and the repair may take a couple of hours. Each item is different.
. Heck; my car has been in for 5 recalled repairs, not that I personally was having any problem, they sent me a letter stating that my vehicle was on the recall list. So stuff was changed, not that I noticed it as the boys at the dealership can take the car apart and put it back together without leaving a mark. Have not been called back for years. All free for me.
. It has been trouble-free.

Recall repairs are free. They should prevent problems the manufacturer has determined likely, but not more than that.

The door latch repair is a safety issue, while the computer reprogramming is to fix vehicle emissions problems. NONE of these repairs should have any effect on future problems with your vehicle.

Looks like you might end up with a new computer out of the deal since yours failed the reprogramming.
The things you mention don't really fall into a category of things that would fail later.

If a manufacturer issues a recall notice for something like a door latch, you can bet it can be serious, maybe life threatening. They sure don't WANT the expense of the recall, but after being informed of the problem multiple times are compelled by law or their conscience to rectify it, because if they know of a problem and deaths in particular might occur because of it, they can end up with massive law suits.

Sounds like bad workmanship. They have to fix it no added cost

If something goes wrong with the mechanisms they fix under recall, you will not have to pay for any repairs.
