A safe bet with any of those types is: Key on, Radio off, so time is displayed.
Then start pushing buttons until the HOUR starts flashing. Then you know you are on to something. Use up / down arrows to set.

I'm trying to decide which of the two to get I heard online the eco boost is surprisingly a little faster then the V6 edition. it gets roughly 4 more MPG then the V6. the ecoboost will be about 1500 more then the V6 fast back lets assume its going to be my main vehicle. which one should I get and why? And which is superior? Your thoughts please. I'm not a gearhead so don't get too technical on me without using things I'll understand lol
