How to open my car radio? Display does not work?
A while ago, I noticed that the display in my 2008 Ford escape no longer functioned. The radio itself works just fine audiowiswe, but the display to tell us the time, temperature, station, etc, does not work. The photo attached is my car radio, while the car is on.
We're pretty sure that the problem is that the LED light is broken on the inside, but my question is how do we open the display? All Internet resources I've been trying to find do not help, I have been told that there's a nuts were supposed to listen but I can't find it on the car. We also can't find anything about it in the car manuals that we have for this model. Can anyone help me? I think I'm probably just being stupid about this, but I do not want to take any unnecessary risks
Get some pry tools and a Phillip's head screwdriver. Carefully work your way from the bottom to the top.
First, disconnect the negative battery terminal.
