Battery issue with 2014 Ford Escape?

I'm looking into the 2014 Ford Escape, but the battery is tucked under part of the windshield on the drivers side. How would I get the battery replaced? Also, if I were to get into a accident, the battery fluid/acid would spill all over me and possibly burn my skin. If anyone has more info about this issue, please let me know.

Talk to Ford about their "better idea".

For the battery, you can either look at an Escape at a dealer's lot and see how to get to the battery, or look online for a photo… As far as being in an accident, the battery normally stays intact, and even if it became damaged, there's no way for the battery fluid to get on you

  • New alternator and battery but battery still won't charge in my ford explorer 93? My battery wouldnt charge So i just replaced my alternator a few days ago knowing it would fix the problem. It appears that the alternator was not the problem. I've got a brand new alternor and when i check the battery(running car), it just stays on 12.5V and doesn't go up. I tried using it yesterday and it just drained out on me. I tried 3 good batteries already and checked if they charge in my car but they don't. Oh, the alternator came with a volt regulator.
