Is the transmission the same for a 4x4 and 2wd ford f350 dualley 1999? - 1
Nope
Not at all, the 4x4 would need a transfer case and all sorts of other parts to make it work. It would require a donor truck to make that happen at a cost effective rate.
Yes and no. The internals of the transmission are identical, except for the output shaft, and the rear of the case is different, so the transfer case bolts on.
- I took my truck my truck to ford to fix a very loud noise and when I Get it back same its the same? I spent eight hundred and something dollars to get this fixed they said I should replace two of them the front and back so they can have the same life span so I forked out another 400 bucks but now when I go home and has the same noise when I turn now they're trying to sell me a wheel bearing for two hundred buckS, its been 5 days what should I do
- How is fording a river in a manual 4x4 different to an automatic 4x4? I had forded a river with a LR Defender before and usually stuck it in Low 2nd gear and push through the river at 2-3k rpm. Luckily I never got stuck in the middle but I remember reading somewhere that it is easier to ford rivers with an automatic gearbox due to the lack of clutch housing? Since automatic gearbox won't really stall in the middle of the river, would it be okay to shift it in reverse if stuck?
- Does the ford f150 and ford explorer.have the same suspension if they are the same year? Can i swap parts? Does the ford f150 and ford explorer. Have the same suspension if they are the same year? Can i swap parts?
- I have a 99 Ford f350 with a 7.3 and when I'm accelerating my truck starts bucking and surging around 2500 rpms? Black smoke dumps out and I lose lots of power. I have had several mechanics look at it and nobody has figured it out. I have changed the ebps tube, ipr, icm, one injector, injector o rings, valve cover gaskets, cps and some other stuff. Could it simply be something with the turbo? Feel free to put in your $.02, any help will be appreciated. I have a stock tune it it now, when I put it in tow or extreme, it happens quicker.
