7.3 L Powerstroke vs 5.9 L Cummins?

First off I don't want any fanboys saying one is better just cause the brand, and secondly I know these are the 2 best Diesel engines so either way it's a win win. My dad has a 2000 F-350 with the original 7.3 engine. It's got about 250,000 miles on it, and it's been very reliable considering it's not taken care of at all aside from the oil and tires changes. Down the road I want to get a truck for myself, but I don't know which one I should I get. I know the 7.3 inside and out from it being in my entire life, but it's also a lot rarer than the 5.9. The 5.9 is easier to get my hands on, but I also don't know much about it. As far as the truck frames go I'd have to say the Ford's body is tougher from personal experience. From what I've heard the Dodge transmissions tend to be the worst between Ford, Dodge, and Chevy. I'd like to know your personal experience with one and/or both.

From a non-biased point of view from the uk
I wouldn't choose the dodge as I've seen a 2.4 diesel land rover defender beating them in tug-of-war which is embarrassing considering the sheet size and power of the dodge with the cummins engine

The Cummins is the best by far.
