2000 ford f250 transmission problems?
Sometimes when I'm driving along, when I push down the pedal to speed up, the RPMs go up but I don't speed up hardly. It shifts down but has very little acceleration. Also when the transmission shifts down, like when your passing somebody, it'll shift down 2 gears like it should when you floor it, but when it shifts back up, it skips a gear and goes straight to high gear. 170,000 miles, what the heck is wrong?

To start with, it sounds like the shift solenoids are going, but to get a better grasp on the issues at hand, get the trans scanned. Then go from there.
- Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?
- How many sensors Are on automatic transmission 2001 Ford Super Duty F250? I have a 2001 f250 super duty. Trans and motor are good and strong. Motor Trans only problem is you have to manually pull it to low and shift it up manually. Need to know which sensor that could be.
- 1990 Ford F250 C6 Transmission is a little soft on take off in drive? I have bought a 1990 Ford F250 Custom, that was damaged in the last ice storm, great truck, it is a little slow on take off in drive. I can shift the leaver down to-D1- & it will take off as it should. I'm thinking of droping the trans. Pan & changing the filter, which has probably never been done.
