Would a 1998 ford V10 have coils or plug wires?

My brother has a F350 V10 that had the engine seize up on him. I found a 1998 ford bus that has another V10 in it that's good, but I think it wouldn't work without alot of work, would it? It probably has wires vs coils and different intake, heads, and upper plenum, if I were to guess anyways. I haven't seen the engine in the bus, but just seen it online for sale, and it is less than buying just a salvage yard engine and I can hear it run too. But it wouldn't work, would it?

In 1998 plugs via external coils not coil packs.
The coil packs may fit.

Hi since 1984 you have been unable just to switch out car engines due to having computers running the engines.

The V10-6.8 Triton OHV has ten coils, each of which sits atop a spark plug, for all platforms in which it is used; each cylinder has its own primary circuit from the EEC-V powertrain computer (also applies to the current-production EEC-VI/VII). To my understanding, the two engines have different air-inlet and coolant plumbing, as the E- and F-350 have conflicting installation requirements due to the body designs; but the long blocks are essentially identical.

  • Would bad spark plug wires cause a check engine light? I just changed the valve cover gasket on my car. Then when I tried to start it, it started violently shaking and the check engine light turned on. The only thing I could think is that maybe the spark plug wires broke when I took them off. Would that cause a check engine light? It's a 2002 Ford Focus ZTS with 150000 miles

  • I would like to know if 04-08 Ford F-150 rear suspension parts would fit on my 1998 Ford F-150? I'm building a prerunner and have already received a long travel kit for the front of my 1998 Ford F-150, but I'm having trouble finding rear suspension parts for it. Honestly I'm perfectly fine with just a pair of Fox 2.5 Factory piggybacks, but I can only find some for the 04-08 Ford F-150 and I just wanted to know if they would bolt onto my 1998 Ford F-150.
  • How many coils does my truck have? 1988 ford f150 xlt lariat 5.0 engine, still got a little aggravating miss but I can let it idle for 20 minutes and it doesn't miss until I touch the gas, I think it might be flooding a cylinder but I'm not sure if it can do that or not because I know it has new plugs and wires so they should all be firing unless it has 1 coil to each cylinder and 1 of them is bad, I don't know though so I'm turning back to you guys again
