Does Anyone Else Hate Foreign Cars?

I'm getting real sick of people driving them in America! I've even seen military people drive Honda's and Toyota's! Yeah, because that is showing your love for America! I'm also really sick of people thinking that all foreign cars have a "special gift" and are super reliable! Actually, lets think about this… How often does Toyota have a recall? No, lets rephrase that: When doesn't Toyota have a recall?! Nissan? Are you kidding me? Those are built by the cheapest materials possible and run like crap! If you are one of those foreign car lovers who support them don't give me the "But Toyota's, Mazda's, and Honda's are built in the US where a lot of domestics are built in Canada and Mexico" excuse. Don't you dare try to say that foreign brands are American, because they are not! GM, Ford and Chrysler were all founded in the US whereas Toyota, Nissan, Honda, VW, etc were founded in Japan or Europe. There's a difference! Do you detest foreign vehicles or do you like them? Please state your opinions why you like or dislike them…

I hate foreign cars because they are cheaply built, overrated, slow, unattractive (yeah, I know you will always have an ugly duckling whether it's domestic or foreign, but to have all of them ugly just isn't right) and just a way to like your country less. Please buy American! (GO GENERAL MOTORS)

P.S. NO I'm not racist! I have African American, Asian and Hispanic friends and don't care what descent you're from. I just hate the idea of foreign cars in an American market…

You seem somewhat of an idiot.

Both Honda and Toyota have factories in the USA. They ARE American cars.

Want a foreign car, try a Dodge Ram; they are built in Mexico.

AND… Please… DON'T TELL ME HOW TO ANSWER A QUESTION.

You are certainly entitled to your opinions, Rachel - however misguided and wrong they may be.

Do you realize the futility in hating an inanimate object? You have a choice, drive what makes you happy.

I hate to disappoint you, but I'll take a German built car over an American one any day, or pretty much any other foreign car for that matter. I've owned a couple American vehicles, and had regular problems with them. As for my Nissans and Mercedes products - no issues at all. My 2008 Dodge truck has been recalled SIX times since I bought it in 2010. My 2006 smart fortwo (a Mercedes product) has never been recalled, and has never been in the garage for anything but routine maintenance. Can't say the same for the truck. When I buy a vehicle I buy for quality, not because it's "American".

Hi rachael so your homophobic attitude is stopping you from driving a much better car than any american piece of junk. Better 0-60 times better top speed better handling and much better in comfort and reliability nah the rubbish produced in AMERICA. Yes we can do much better actually.
Time to get a real life kid.

How old are you? My '75 Mustang ll came with an engine built by Ford… In Germany.
My '95 F-150 has a Mazda transmission.
My '06 HD Superglide has parts from all over the world! US, Japan, Mexico…
The '88 Dodge Dakota I had was made in Canada.
The '89 Honda Civic was built in the US
There's no such thing as any vehicle built entirely in this country.
Even the rubber we make here for the gaskets and seals starts as chemicals from around the world.

Ford, GM, Chrysler founded in USA, BUT, builds lots of cars out of the country and ones made in USA use more than 50% imported parts

or a "foreign" brand name that decides to build in the USA bring jobs to americans instead of taking away jobs like the car companies founded here

you can justify it all you want any way you want

Buddy, i stuck to American cars for a long time and worked on hundreds of them for 27 years in a fleet. I know how the American automakers build cars, full of designed in defects. No thanks, I buy toyotas and nissans for myself. Besides which, a lot of your "american" cars are made elsewhere, anyway. Ford Focus - made in Mexico. For instance. I've got no use for American cars, Japanese cars are superior.

DEPENDS WHERE YOU ARE POSTING FROM… IF JAPAN… THOSE CARS WOULD BE HOME GROWN…

RACHAEL… I HAVE A 14 YEAR-OLD NISSAN… VERY RELIABLE… MADE IN SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND… BTW Please STOP USING A POSSESSIVE APOSTROPHE WHEN YOU DON'T NEED ONE IN PLURALS… TOYOTAS, NISSANS ETC… YOU SEEM AN INTELLIGENT GIRL AND IT LETS YOU DOWN.
