Give me an idea what's blowing out the electrical system on my 1999 Ford Windstar?
Two new batteries, two new alternators, two new serpentine belts in the past two years. Most recently a new battery (last one was only less than halfway through its warranty) a new alternator, and a new belt with tension pulley on July 20, 2015 - two months ago. Check charging system light started coming on a few times starting about 5 days ago. Then another lost day of work today. Anybody got a clue? I'd really appreciate any help.
Take it to the dealer. I pretty sure the computer runs the alternator on your vehicle. There may be mechanic TSB reports for your problem and by now you need all the help you can get. The grounds to the alternator need to be tested and after market alternators may be causing more problems as I've seen many bad right out of the box.
I'll bet you have BAD GROUNDS. All grounds need to be Clean and Tight or strange things can happen.
- Will a 2000 Ford Windstar lx fuse box diagram be the same as a 2003 Ford Windstar fuse box? I found a link about a 2003 but I need to know if it'll be the same for a 2000. If it ain't can anyone help me out with a link showing information like this but about a 2000 model? Thanks. http://www.fixya.com/cars/t11808484-2003_ford_windstar_fuse_box_diagram
- Why isn't my 1999 Ford Windstar heat not working? Last winter was pretty cold and I have been working to try fixing my heating problem. I took it to a shop and he said I'd have to take it to the dealer. My budget isn't that high so I replaced the blend door acuator myself and that didn't fix my problem. Not sure what to even try. My A/C works fine and air will blow out but absolutely no heat. Need Help!
- Typical lib thinking? Ford had no idea when it happened, had no idea how she got there, no idea how she left, clueless who was there? And despite that every person she listed as a witness made a statement in a sense said Ford was wrong… The lib brain… Get even at Trump…> yep - Kavanaugh did it.
- Why is my 93 ford ranger 5 speed 3.0 heater now blowing out cold air? I have a 93 ford ranger. Last winter the heater worked descent. Blowing above warm air. Not as warm as my newer model car but it worked. The beginning of this winter it wasn't quite as warm as last year. Within 2-3 weeks its now blowing out cold air (defrost panel floor all vents). Last night at roughly 25-30 degrees I drove it approx. 10 miles occasionally turning heater/defrost on to try to defrost windshield some and upon returning home it sounded like boiling water under the hood.
