1958 ford shuts down after warm up? - 1

Not much to go on there sparky. Your going to have to check if it is spark of lack of fuel that is the cause.

Perhaps the idle speed is a bit too slow, too little fuel vs air mix in the carburetor, may need timing or spark / coil / points check and calibration.

A bit more information would be useful. Then again, an in person diagnostic with a qualified mechanic could also be informative and more useful for you. Many tire, muffler or parts shops with a garage out back can help with the diagnostics for little or no charge. They want to point you in the right direction, to sell you the right parts, either for you or them to do the work. It depends on how much you value your time, or if you don't want/need to get your hands dirty.

Needs new points and carb tuneup

  • Was the 1958 Ford Nucleon Concept ever made as a Diecast or model car? I was wondering if the 1957/58 Ford Nucleon Concept Car ever had a Diecast/Diecast similar model car. I've seen plenty of posters around the internet, but I wanted to see if there was an actual model car made for it. (I personally love the retro Atomic Era concepts, and I've always kind of wanted a model of this car, or any kind of Atomic Era nuclear powered car concept).

  • 2003 Ford Focus A/C shuts down car I have a 2003 Ford Focus- When I bought it the dealer(used) told me there was a compressor problem but when I took it to a mechanic he said it was some sort of electrical problem that would take "in depth" assessing. No check engine light. New alternator. It sputter the moment the AC goes on, and when I stop it shuts down completely. I thought I could handle not having ac but the heat is getting worse. Help please! I would love to fix this myself if possible!
