1929 Ford Model A Tudor appraisal?

I'm thinking about getting this. The frame and body is pretty solid. Some paint chipping is the worst, a long with a little bit of rust bubbles in one part. The interior needs to be completely redone. It looks like it has a couple mice nests in the headliner, and some dry rotting in the seats. Some of the chrome, not most will need to be rechromed. He says it runs and drives. And that it's all original. He said it was appraised at 18k but I doubt it. Will it be easy to sell as is? And if so how much you think?

Do not be afraid to make an extremely low-ball offer. If the seller says $18,000 it's still quite possible that he is hurting for money, and will let it go for much, much less. You already know that you need to assume the worst for needed repairs.

That said, the A is a nice car that will probably restore well. Parts for the A, and even the T, are readily available. Legend has it that some of the original shops in Indiana and Michigan that made parts for Henry are still in business, churning out molded rubber items or steel whatzises. Great-grandkids of the original owners running those shops.

Lol

I probably would not give $3000 for it.

An appraisal without an offer is meaningless.

A car that is nearly 100 years old is in no way a car that any buyer should expect to drive more than 20 miles a year.

So, unless you are a car fancier millionaire, forget it.
