Obnoxious squealing noise in car?
I have a 2001 Ford Taurus and it's making a squealing noise. I had the serpentine belt replaced and all the pulleys cleaned off and checked and it's still squealing. Any ideas on what it could be?
Tensioner. You can purchased the whole unit or replace just the pulley.
Just for kicks, squirt a little oil on the bolt that the tensioner pulley rides on to see what happens.
- Why is my engine squealing? I drive a 2000 Ford Mustang v6. The engine was making quite a bit of noise while driving, so I decided to replace the serpentine belt. However, I noticed no change at all in the noise. Also, the squeaking continues for a short time even after I cut the engine and the serpentine belt stops moving all together. Leads me to believe it isn't a belt or bearing issue, but not sure what else it could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
- Weird noise coming from bottom of my car? Ok so i own a 2002 Ford Mustang GT, and there has been this weird, weird rattling noise coming from beneath my car. I'm running an SLP loudmouth aftermarket exhaust and i'm wondering if thats the issue. I'm no mechanic, so i wanna know what i'm gonna be dealing with before i go see for myself. - I have a ford forte when I turn my air con on it makes a noise then my car stalls? Ever since it did that even with the air con off it makes like a funny hissing/airflow noise it's hard to explain. I'm worried because I'm ment to be going on a long drive tomorrow
