Where is the MAP sensor on a 99 ford ranger 4.0? - 1
It should be somewhere on the intake manifold after the throttle body on any car.
In case you don't know about car, the intake manifold on your car should be on the top of your engine, it has 6 runners (big metal tubes) that are bolted to the engine head. Hint: Follow the air box to the intake manifold.
The sensor on the air box, or air duct is not the MAP sensor. It is the MAF sensor. Look for electrical wires and connectors.
Hi so what happens when you find it the new one will require being re-programmed into the engine management system.
