Think stock is like 10 btdc but should do well at 12-12.5
Factory timing is 10 before top dead center (TDC). If you're new to adjusting the timing on that car you need to remember to pull out the spout connector which dangles next to the distributor. Adjust timing while it's out. Read the timing at the top flat edge of the timing pointer (not the circle). Once you're done adjusting the timing put the spout connector back in. All 1986 through 1993 5.0 Mustangs are like this (also, 1986 Capri, 1993 Cobra and Lincoln Mark VII).

- Weatherstripping on my 1992 Mustang LX convertible? I own a 1992 Mustang LX convertible. The weatherstripping is dried out and rain is getting though the seals. I searched for weatherstripping kits and they are $400 and up, which I think is a ridiculous price. I assume that I'll have to buy the convertible top weatherstripping from Ford, but will it be ok to use off brand on my doors and etc? Should I spend the extra cash on Ford made weatherstripping or will an off brand do just as well? Thanks guys! Feel free to throw in any random tips
