Go to a Ford dealer and ask the service Dept. If you can have copies of schematics and wiring diagrams and system overview?
While your at it you may need to take some basic classes in electrical theory and the likes depending of course upon what you may or may not already know! Some classes on engine management and engine basics may also be in order.
You can also buy Ford shop manuals. You will need not only the security system but also engine management and body control management as security systems tie in to these systems as well.
I'm a retired Master tech and worked in the dealers for over 30 years. Cars have gotten very complicated in the past 20 years. Computers are now used for everything. We used to have a power widow switch that applied power to the window motor so it could roll up or down depending on which way the field was applied. Now we send a signal to a computer and as long as all criteria is met the computer rolls the window up or down.
I personally believe this is overkill and that the main reason isn't the anti-pinch safety margin but rather continued attempts to make the vehicle so complicated you must take it in rather than repair it yourself.
I strongly suggest that you go to Ford and buy the entire service catalogue for the vehicle. It won't be cheap but it will be comprehensive. This way you will not only have All the technical information, but also a glossary of terms Ford uses and a glossary of symbols.
It's necessary to think like Ford does not just have the technical information.
