What is a good reliable car?

I'm a college student and don't want to spend a lot on a car. I plan to take out a 6 year loan and want to pay around $200 or low 2's on a preowned vehicle. Cars I have been looking at are the following:

Sonata
Altima
Mazda 3
Ford Fusion
Civic

Out of these, which car is the most reliable and best car to get for what I'm looking for. I don't want to be paying payments on a 9 year old car with a lot of problems.

Always go first to the Consumer Report car issue----April of 2014 is the latest. This issue contains a wealth of information on reliability, fuel efficiency and safety for nearly every make and model car sold in the us. They also give suggested cars for certain price ranges. Go to the library and get the issue or go on line.

  • What is a good car that can hold 6-8 people and had good gas milage? I don't want a minivan. Right now I have a ford freestyle. I'm looking for under $5,000 and can get around to 40 miles per gallon
  • What is a good, cheap, RELIABLE used truck for hauling a trailer? (Mowing)? It would be for my mowing and yard work business. It will also be my first vehicle as I turn 16 in a few months. I can afford around $6200 or less. I would prefer that it would last for several years, which is the Most IMPORTANT aspect. Ford Rangers are very cheap, but would they hold up for very long carrying around a trailer with a zero turn mower, push mower, and trimmer?
  • What is a good and reliable 4x4 vehicle that i would be able to get for around 3 to 3500 dollars? Something preferably kind of well knwon, like how ford had the 4.9 i6, the 7.3 diesel, the i4 they put in rangers for example I'm selling my two vehicles i have and want to put money in the bank and buy one cheap vehicle because i'm moving, where i will be living will be cold so fuel injected gasoline will be a must
  • Looking for a good reliable car/truck? Okay i'm buying my first car/truck after i get my license. Now i'm figuring a budget between 1500-3000. I'm into cars and trucks, can't afford an 1965 Mustang the moment lol. But if you guys know any good reliable cars in between that price range please let me know. Good on gas. Non expensive maintenance. Decent looking for a guy. Just throw out some name's and model's. Btw i stay in INDIANA
