Wheel wobble after fitting new wheels?

Today I bought and fitted a set of second hand alloys. Two tires are brand new, the front two are worn and need replacing anyway but regardless, I took the car down a private road and at about 70mph the steering wheel shakes quite a bit. Now unless there has been a massive coincidence since me fitting them, I can't imagine it being the calipers because my other alloys which I used to pick the new ones up never caused any shaking. Now I know I could have tightened the lug nuts a bit more which I will do when it's light tomorrow, could this have caused it? I checked the wheels for buckles and they look good, can't see any damage, so what could it be. I must stress, that it only occurs around 70mph and only since I changed my alloys over today. The new wheels are 16" as aposed to the original 14" but these alloys have been fitted to the same car many other times by other people. The car is a Ford Fiesta 2001.

Added (1). Here's some pics of the four, see if you can see any buckles…

I'm going to take it the shop tomorrow for new tires and balancing, also to note these had been sat for a while.

You blew the alignment and/or the balance of the wheels - garge job.

Sounds like the wheels need to balanced if there near the same size as what you took then I don't c y it would be the alignment but possible. Take it to a tire shop and have them speed balance (usually only 5 dollars a wheel) and just have them check the alignment of your car it wouldn't hurt for the cheap price. Because if your steering wheel is shakeing its a big sign that it is in your front two wheels! Hope this helps

It doesn't matter. You need to stop be wasteful and selfish by using alternative transportation.

Sounds as though you may simply need to have the wheels balanced. If that does not cure the problem the new alloys you purchased have an incorrect offset with is necessary for your specific vehicle. I hope you took the needed offset specs in mind before purchasing the wheels.

Offset and alignment/tracking do not cause wobble. This is a simple matter of balance.
