What year(s) did the ford f150 have an 8.8 sold axle?

Looking to do a sas on a ranger but don't know where to find and axle, thought if i can find a f150 with with a solid axle i could do the swap to the front and rear, thanks!

Every F-150 ever made has a solid rear axle. The 8.8 inch axle is used on the rear only. So your cunning plan of a SAS on your Ranger with an 8.8 inch Ford axle. Isn't going to work out. No offense, but it sounds like you don't even know what you're looking for.

The F-150's front axle was a TTB Dana 44 from the early 80's until 1996. But it's not a solid axle. You would have to go way back to the 70's to find an F-150 with a solid front axle. 97-up F-150's a fully independent front suspension the ring gear is 8.8 inches, but it's not a solid axle.

Most people that do a SAS on Rangers go with a Dana 35 or a solid Dana 44. Most of the time you can get the Dana 35 off a Jeep or the Dana 44 off of a half ton or 3/4 ton Dodge Ram
