1989 Ford f 150 for $850 and still runs?
Says it still runs strong. How can it only be 850. What should I look for before buying?
That truck is 28 years old. Check for body rust, damage to the floorboards, and smooth operation when driving. Check the condition of the tires, and look for oil or water leaks in the engine. Look at the oil, and make sure it does not look like a chocolate milkshake that has melted.
If it looks good to you, take it to your own qualified mechanic to have it checked (at your expense)
$800 seems to be a reasonable price for a running truck that is that old

- I have a 1989 Ford F-150 2wd I recently swapped the motor, tranny, front and rear off a 94? I swapped everything off a 94 to make it automatic with 4wd but the plugs coming off the transmission don't match ou and I'm missing a big plug "the wiring is off the 89" and it won't shift I've changed the speed sensor and the transmission filter would those plugs not matching up cause it to not shift while driving?
- How does the fuel system on my 1989 Ford F-150 work? My 1989 Ford F-150 won't start this morning. The truck seems to not be getting gas. The truck will start but immediately stop running. There's a sound like a pump trying to run after I turn off the key. It runs for 30 seconds or so then intermittent runs until it stops. What is happening?
