What is a Generator Harness and Generator Circuit?

Well, the actual generator harness for a 3 phase alternator will have the field flashing / regulator module and the field rotor commutator wires with stator coil taps to regulate the output voltage. The engine will have a separate harness in a large stationary gen-set.
The alternator on your truck is internally regulated so the field flash wire and RPM's are all it needs to produce electric power.
Generally speaking the alternator and the generator are the same thing. I hope that is what you wanted to know because the question was a bit hard to understand.
