Will Chevrolet enter to Formula 1 someday?

In 2000s F1 were more engine manufacturers such as Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Cosworth-Ford, Toyota, BMW, Honda, Peugeot, Petronas, Renault, Mecachrome and Supertec
just start in 2010 F1 were engine manufacturer crisis and reduced to 4 such as Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Cosworth and Renault.

Can Chevy enter Formula 1 someday?

There are right-handed turns in formula 1 so… I guess not

No. Because F1 will never be big enough in America for Chevrolet to make any gains from being in formula 1.
This is because New York and Long Beach won't happen and Austin will only last a few years as the races are so boring. Also Americans as a whole prefer NASCAR and indycar and Bernie will probs therefore pursue races in ex-Russian areas and South America

Nope, you will never ever see chevrolet in f1. Chevrolet is being withdrawn as a brand from europe as we speak, and is hardly involved in asia pacific. Chevrolet would get a lot of exposure from joining f1 in all the wrong places. For the us/canada, they are already involved in indycars, so that is enough.

the problem with gm vs. Ford is that ford is a global brand, where gm is spread out the marks: chevrolet, opel, vauxhall, holden, cadillac, isuzu, etc. Same cars, different names, so there's no use for running a single brand in a global series.

chevrolet did enter the wtcc (although mainly focused on europe and asia), very successfully, but doesn't gain anything, since it's leaving the european market again.

gm has brand problems anyway. They did try to enter opel in australia recently, but failed terribly. Now, the same cars will be on the australian market, badged as holden. Who do they think they're fooling? (not that they make bad cars, but rebadging them will hardly increase sales, i expect.)

so: never chevrolet in f1.

There's nothing to gain for Chevrolet to be in F1. It's way too expensive and Chevrolet gets a ton of exposure from Indycar and Nascar.

A lot of the engines you mention were just rebadged versions of other engines rather than being unique in their own right.

The whole idea of the new engine formula is to get more makers into the sport. With the V8's being such old technology no-one was interested in getting involved and both Renault and Mercedes had talked about leaving if they were kept.

I can't see anything in it for Chevrolet but who knows what will happen with Haas. Maybe Chevrolet will put their name on a Ferrari engine like Petronas did, lol.

When F1 becomes popular in North America. They have to reason to get involved when their potential customers are not all that interested in Formula 1.

  • Is Ford returning to Formula 1 is 2017? I'm asking this because in Nascar Haas is switching to Ford in 2017 and if you know Nascar, Haas has always been a Chevy team and honestly it is quite surprising they would switch manufactures… Unless their F1 team is possibly going to run a Ford/Cosworth Engine in 2017. Also add that Ford is leaving V8 Supercars maybe that is another sign they are putting their eggs in a f1 return.
  • I enter my code on the radio press 5 but not working? I have obtained the code by pressing 1&6 on the radio and that code has worked in the past in my 2005 Ford Mondeo
  • GMC vs Ford vs Chevrolet vans? I'm currently trying to buy a Van for my construction business needs. There are three brands which come to my mind, GMC, Ford, and Chevrolet. Which do you think it's better, GMC, Ford, or Chevrolet, in Vans category?
  • Chevrolet Cruze or Ford Fusion for first car? I'm in the market for a new car. But i'm not sure weather i should go with a 2010-2012 ford fusion or a 2011-2013 chevrolet cruze? I know they arent in the same segment as the cruze is a compact and fusion is midsize. But just for reliability, safty, handling, and fuel economy as i'm a college student.
