Why won't my 2004 Ford Freestar go into reverse but it drives?
It is most likely a specific type of transmission problem. You seriously should stop driving it and take to an auto shop. It will cost you a lot of money if you wait.
Internal transmission issue such as a sticking reverse clutch or malfunctioning solenoid or valve body problem.
- 1997 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 won't shift into drive after being driven. Takes longer than should to shift into drive when first started? It will go in reverse fine. First thing in the morning when I leave for work, it will shift into drive on it's own, but takes a bit longer than it should. After getting it warm, won't shift into drive at all. I can shift down to 1st or 2nd, then back into drive and it will "pop up" into drive within a second or 2. I also have a ODB2 error P1744 (Torque Converter circuit).
- My 04' Ford Freestar's remote starter won't work? Just got the PCM replaced and programmed and now the aftermarket remote starter won't work. It locks the doors and dash lights come on like the ignition is on but won't start?
- My car is leaning to the front right wheel but still drives straight? How do I fix it? Ford focus 2005 4 cly it doesn't effect my steering but I can head freaks and sqeeks when I hit small bumps. I also notice in the car It leans forward to the right front wheel. Seems alright but I wanna get it fix if it can get worst. I'm guessing it's a strut or spring suspension broken. What do you guys think?
- My explorer p/u barely drives on R or D1 but not on D? My Ford Explorer pick up won't drive on D gear but it will on Reverse and D1 but barelybarely, like 3mph
