How was it premature? Article II, Section 2 of the United States Constitution states that the President "shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment". Nixon has already resigned so he was not subject to impeachment.
- Why would a woman put herself through a judgmental hearing is she wasn't seeking justice? Regarding Kavanaugh/Ford hearing. I would like to know any possible answer from anyone, but I would be especially interested in thoughts from females on why they would put themselves through that scrutiny.
- Was Ford's pardon of Nixon legal? Does the President have the right to "pardon" an individual prior to adjudication of a particular set of charges?
