Why should we believe Ford when she states that it was Kavanaugh when she can't remember where the supposed event occurred or when?

If you can't remember simple facts, how can we believe that you actually remember it was definitely that man

Added (1). So we're comparing breakfast, to a traumatic experience in one's life? People generally the big moments.

Added (2). *generally remember

What did you have for breakfast 35 years ago?

Trauma can have certain effects on memory, so while I do agree it's a bit suspect to forget a huge detail like where it happened it doesn't rule out the possibility all-together.

Believing Ford or not is a personal choice, one that the masses are perfectly allowed to do on their own. Perhaps it's not for the best reasons, but that's nothing we can help. The only people who have to follow certain procedures are those investigating the case (if there are any at this point), objectively looking at the evidence and not letting personal bias lead them around. They may take Ford seriously, but still have to question whether or not she is telling the truth.
