Why's this Ford Raptor so cheap?
Alright so some background on me I'm currently 18 and have wanted a Ford Raptor for as long as I could remember and I was just about to buy my first car. Now I know some might say "oh a Raptor is bad on gas mileage and probably serves no purpose as a daily driver" but I don't really care I just have always wanted one. I would like some feedback on this used Raptor and why it's so cheap? To me it looks fine the ABS light is on but like that could be a bunch of stuff and I would be able to take a look at it if I get it and before buying it I would of course have a mechanic check it out. Anyways here's the truck https://www.carfax.com/vehicle/1FTFX1EV2AKE10630 if you guys have any like comments or statements or reasons it's probably not a good buy tell me.
You mean other than being a high mileage, worn out, rust bucket that you can't afford? Its also not a Raptor.
I don't know, but it has been on the market for 9 months. Dropping from 13K to 9K.
Everyone that has looked at it in those 9 months, walked away. Maybe it is the high mileage, maybe the missing service record.
The mileage is on the high side, but the price is low. It fact it was pretty reasonable before it was discounted. I would look at it and be hopeful but cautious.
Google "2010 Ford Raptor" and you will quickly discover why the one you're looking at is so "cheap". It's not a genuine Raptor.
I can tell by looking at it that it's not a Raptor. That is a regular F-150 (probably the XLT trim), and the car lot that is selling it should be ashamed of themselves for falsely advertising it. One of it's 3 owners may have upgraded the suspension, but that doesn't make it a Raptor. This is a 2010 Raptor:
As for the low price, there's probably something wrong with it. The mileage isn't terrible, but those 5.4 liter Triton V8's were known to be problematic. They have reduced the price by $3k, and are asking $1k less than what it's worth. There has to be a reason for that.
Again, the truck you're looking at is NOT a Raptor. At the most, it's an F-150 with the FX2 package.
Not a raptor. Beat up truck.
You want a Ford Raptor but don't know what one looks like apparently.
There's always a reason why something is unusually cheap. In this case, it's laughably obvious.

- Should I buy a Ford Raptor? I have wanted a Ford Raptor since it first came out in 2010, now I can just barely afford a nice used 2010 (50k or less miles). I go from saying "F it, I'm only going to live once lets do it", to "Its a lot of money, more gas than my Honda (double) and more insurance, not worth it". This truck was made for me though, I'm 50/50 right now. Talk me into or out of it!
- How to convert a ford ranger into a ford raptor? - Pricing on a Ford Raptor? I live in Canada (Toronto, Ontario) and the Canadian price for a Ford Raptor is $65,000+ and I was wondering would it be cheaper to purchase a Raptor in the US? You can purchase a Raptor in the US for $50,000+ but how would I bring it over to Canada and what would be the taxes?
- Is a Lifted Ford Raptor a stick? When I turn 16 I want a Lifted Ford Raptor Truck. But my parent's don't want my first car to be a stick. But a raptor is my dream truck so is it a stick. I'd love to get something like this. And about how much would a truck like cost NEW. Thank you
