Why is my computer not outputting through the dvi-d to hdmi?

I changed the DVI-D to hdmi Ford to see if it was bad
I swapped the graphics card to see if the dvi port might've been the issue(it's not)
I swapped the hard drive with a ssd to see if it would help (negative)
The hdmi to hdmi output works fine
When the initial start up happens the MSI logo pops up but with green lines going through it… Any ideas what's going on here?

Green lines are usually a monitor issue. It's either the port on the monitor or a defective monitor internally. But the problem is probably almost exclusively something with the dvi port rather than a wholly defective monitor. You can try dissassembling and looking for desoldered pins on the internal cable to the port. Also try vigorously jigging the cable.

Dodgy Monitor?
