Why ford ecoboost in everything?

Why the hell is ford sticking ecoboosts into everything, i understand it ks a very good engine because it is fuel efficient and makes a decent amount of power, but really? Ecoboosts in a ford gt? What is your opinion in this engine

I like the engine, but not in a Mustang. I had a 2011 F150 4x4 3.5 Ecoboost and just sold it and got a 2015 4x4 3.5 Ecoboost. They run great. 365 HP and it pulls like a mule. The Ecoboost in the Mustang puts out more HP than the GT did 10 years ago. Personally though I think a muscle car needs a V8. A V6 just doesn't have that sweet sound a V8 does.

I think that the ecoboost formula (direct injection and turbocharging) is a great method for generating great torque especially at lower RPMs, great power while maintaining decent fuel economy and low weight.

I actually really like that they are starting to put decent engines in their cars.
especially in things like the GT. Exotics are where technology gets pushed to the limits and the ecoboost engine in the GT is a prime example of this.
Personally I think they should have stayed away from the GT name because it brings about too much history with it.

and for all the haters, what do you propose Ford should do to improve power, torque fuel economy and weight?

Marketing. You hear the name & automatically think that ir gets better mileage then one without that name. Just marketing…

Ecoboost is a really good engine that is much more durable and efficient than trition engines. Were leaning more towards making all of the newer models of vehicles more "green" as well.
