Why don't car companies remake antique cars?
For example, why doesn't Ford remake their world famous Ford Model T? Or how about Cadillac's 1909 model? Or Dodge's 1914 model car? If people enjoy antique cars so much(me included) then why don't the companies just remake them but with modern stuff(e.g. Advanced but same engine, tire pressure sensors, GPS if wished, radio if wished, electric start engine, doors that lock, impact resistant glass, push button start on floor, airbags etc. ) I'm sure more people worldwide would buy those cars in comparison to the new cars. I know I'll buy one any day over new cars… I hate new cars. Plastic, tin, ugly, overly electronic, worthless, Chinese imported pieces of junk… I hate em. I love the antique cars; their made in America, and they where made to last.

Coupled with the fact that big industry is obsessed with "progress" and the endless consumption of the now. Remaking old cars would effevtively say. "our current existence is pointless. If you guys looked after the cars we'd already made we wouldn't have to work on making new ones" Its been done. 1958 retro T-Bird among others. It was a total FAILURE. Because it would be a "New" car and would have to pass all the governments regulations for safety, smog, etc. Which the antique's won't and don't have to. Besides the glamour is in the age of the antique cars. There's no market for that design as a new car. As to safety, look at Ford's Model A gas tank placement. In the cowl right behind the engine and the fuel gauge is a float behind a glass dial in the dash. Break that glass and the passenger compartment is flooded with gasoline. The car's heater was a piece of metal over the exhaust manifold that the wind blew through to put a pitiful amount of heat through a hole in the firewall. Try selling that in the Northern US today. Requirements for corporate average fuel economy made it impossible. Because those cars were inefficient death traps. Also note that a model T only lasted about 5 years before it was scrapped. All new cars must pass the Crash test the First cars to pass were the Mercedes Benz Finback of 1959
the Cost to build a Rubbish model T would Outstrip the demand solution put a Model T Body on a datsun 180B chassis

- Why don't car companies remake some of their classic car models if people like them so much? Of course safety is in mind because everyone would freak out if they didn't have a seat belt and air bags in every inch of the car, but why can't some of the companies just remake their best selling car models? Dodge could remake their 1948 Sedan and Ford could remake their 1949 Custom. I could list more but I can't think of any more classics.
- Why do some companies like Ford have a 5year warranty and others like Hyundai have a 10year warranty? Does the company with the longer warranty trust in their product longer? Or they know that the owner will have to do a ton of repairs and without a back up no one would ever buy them?
- Why do car companies sell in different countries under different names? Why are companies like Chevrolet selling their cars under names like Holden in Australia? I'm not sure if Chevrolet sells in Australia but I do think they do. If they already sell in Australia, what's the point of selling the same thing under Holden? Another example is some Ford cars are sold under Lincoln, and Chevrolet sells the same thing under GMC. Buick and Opel? What's with this?
- Why did companies become so greedy once Baby Boomers started running them? Henry Ford believed in paying his employees a fair living wage. Walmart believe in paying 9 dollars a hour
