Why did my heads crack on my2009 Ford F450 i just had my motor over haul?
I would guess that the head bolts were not properly torqued. Most head bolts have to be torqued in stages, so the stress on the head is even, end-to-end. If the bad head is still on the truck, have somebody remove the bolts checking the torque on each bolt.
- Why does my ford ranger squeak/crack as i turn when still? When i turn with my foot on the brake without moving my ford ranger makes a weird cracking/squeaking noise. What is causing this noise, is it normal?
- Just had new heads and gaskets installed on Ford Ranger 4.0, along with thermostat and radiator cap. After reaching operating temp, upper? Radiator hose swells to full capacity as if it can't handle more pressure. After engine cools off, hose returns to normal size. Should this be happening?
- How to make a Ford F450 louder? The thing is quiet as **** for a 6.7 L Diesel engine putting out 440HP. I know this isn't a cummins engine and that one of the main reasons it's a lot quieter is because of the electronic fuel pump they use, but how can I make the engine roar, even at lower RPMs? I don't want to take off the Cad. Converter, will consider getting a new exhaust.
- Can a Ford Escort ZX2 haul anything? It has an overdrive option, and would just like to know if it has the capability to haul anything. I'm NOT trying to haul anything big, just a something small a few miles down the road and do not have access to a truck and it is just a little bit too big to fit inside the car. I don't know anything about cars and I do know it has an overdrive option and have never used it, and would just like to know if that is a reason to use it.
