Who makes better trucks ford or chevy?
Ford vs Chevy?
Well my dad used to be a ford guy he had a 08 f-250 and by the time he ditched it a few months ago he was on his 4th engine. I myself own a 02 silverado with 162k on it and i'm still on the same engine and transmission. My cousin owns a gmc seirra (same truck as mine under the steel) and he has 300k. He is on original engine and transmission. So i personally prefer chevrolet/gmc they are alot more dependable
Go with GM, ford does their best at making their products sound superior and the best thing to have, and they claim to be the best selling truck for 38 years. I find that hard to believe because there seem to be much more gm pickups from 1976-2014. I myself think ford interiors are very uncomfortable, and the overall quality of the truck is low.
Owned '85 4 cylinder and '94 v6 Chevy S10s. Both were great trucks. No major problems. Interior of Chevys did seem cheap and several things/plastic did break. Currently own '99 Ford F150, have 198k miles on it. V6 4.2 liter. No major problems. Great truck. However horrible on gas. About 13 mpg. Other than that happy.
Chevrolet claims to have the longest lasting trucks on the road, which I think is based on some sort of survey, so it's accurate to an extent.
Ford claims to have the best selling truck in America, which is only true as a technicality. Chevrolet and GMC make identical trucks, but since they are different names, they can't combine sales to claim the best seller status. The GM duo tends to outsell Ford annually.
I was raised with Chevrolet, so I do have a soft spot for them. However, I prefer the interior of uplevel Fords. They don't feel nearly as cheap as the GM trucks hard plastic. Even the 2014 GM trucks have a farily cheap looking interior.
F-150 and Ranger vs Silverado.
Get the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. It's beast.
What about a Dodge Ram. That might be even better.
Oh anyway, going for Ford!
According to automotive journalists and TV hosts, the Chevy is better.
But according to sales and comsumer reports, the Ford is better.
I hate this question. And the rivalry. I own both chevy's and fords. They both have their pro's and cons but i couldn't tell you which is better unless your looking for the specifics. I've been happy with both.
I would say Chevy. Ford = found on road dead
I would say Ford
- Any new interesting news about Gm, Ford or mopar performance vehicles coming out in 2018,2019? Trucks, cars, trucks, SUVs, Hatchbacks? Mopars has brought out extreme amounts of muscle cars, trucks, SUVs, full size and mid size sedans. Other than cadillac is there any other American an brands coming to compete? Or is mopar going to compete with the raptor/Shelby for trucks or for small/hatchback against Ford and there focus st/r's?

- What makes Ford trucks so great? I recently started talking to a boy who loves ford trucks. He farms, but since we live in Indiana, I know enough about it to make small talk. But, when he brings up Ford trucks, I have no knowledge what so ever about them. So my question is: what makes ford great? What makes them better than other trucks?
